4.1 The Committee scrutinised the Public Services Ombudsman for Wales on the Estimate for Income and Expenses 2017-18.

4.2 The Ombudsman agreed to provide the Committee with a note on benchmarking against other similar bodies and public services ombudsman schemes.

5 Assembly Commission draft budget 2017-18: Evidence session

5.1 The Committee scrutinised the Assembly Commission on the draft budget 2017 – 2018.

5.2 The Assembly Commission agreed to provide:

•        more information on future ICT investment

•        details of how much has been spent on ICT replacement in the Siambr

•        a note explaining the 12% savings in ICT

•        an explanation for the increase in ICT costs relating to ‘Revenue and Consumable purchases’

•        the reasons for the decreased budget in 2017-18 for ‘Assembly Members’ Salary and on-costs’

•        a list of the 14 schools that did not take up the opportunity to engage with the Assembly
